Procurement Manager ( Hybrid/Partial Remote)

Job Description • Lead procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services for active commercial and industrial construction projects • Negotiate pricing for ready-mix concrete, construction materials, equipment rentals, and vendor services • Manage supplier relationships and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and material suppliers • Issue purchase orders and coordinate procurement based on project procurement sheets and planning meetings • Coordinate delivery schedules with Project Managers, Superintendents, and warehouse teams • Monitor inventory levels of materials and equipment stored in warehouses • Review construction drawings to determine material requirements and procurement needs • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment mobilization, and demobilization schedules for projects • Troubleshoot procurement issues such as delivery delays, damaged materials, or supplier shortages • Maintain safety documentation including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for materials used on project sites • Research and onboard new suppliers and equipment rental companies in coordination with finance • Track project material consumption and maintain communication with field teams regarding inventory levels • Support project teams by identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving procurement processes Qualifications • 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience • Experience in commercial or industrial construction environments • Proven experience negotiating material pricing and vendor contracts • Familiarity with ready-mix concrete procurement and construction materials sourcing • Experience managing vendor relationships and supplier negotiations • Strong understanding of construction project procurement cycles • Experience coordinating material deliveries and project logistics • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications • Experience issuing purchase orders and managing procurement documentation • Strong communication skills to coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and warehouse teams • Experience tracking material consumption and inventory levels • Must be located near Charlotte, North Carolina and able to work with office and warehouse teams Why Is This a Great Opportunity • Lead procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services for active commercial and industrial construction projects • Negotiate pricing for ready-mix concrete, construction materials, equipment rentals, and vendor services • Manage supplier relationships and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and material suppliers • Issue purchase orders and coordinate procurement based on project procurement sheets and planning meetings • Coordinate delivery schedules with Project Managers, Superintendents, and warehouse teams • Monitor inventory levels of materials and equipment stored in warehouses • Review construction drawings to determine material requirements and procurement needs • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment mobilization, and demobilization schedules for projects • Troubleshoot procurement issues such as delivery delays, damaged materials, or supplier shortages • Maintain safety documentation including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for materials used on project sites • Research and onboard new suppliers and equipment rental companies in coordination with finance • Track project material consumption and maintain communication with field teams regarding inventory levels • Support project teams by identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving procurement processes Salary Type : Annual Salary Salary Min : $ 85000 Salary Max : $ 95000 Currency Type : USD
