QA Food Supervisor - Product Quality, Specifications, and Testing

About the position Responsibilities • Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports. • Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports. • Consult with leadership on team strategy development. • Propose changes to improve team processes and communicate approved changes to direct reports. • Provide input on hiring for positions reporting to them. • Inform management of major team milestones and concerns. • Develop programs supporting continuous process improvement for supplier management and product safety. • Lead and guide the work of direct reports, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. • Develop Quality Assurance goals and collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance with quality standards. • Manage multiple projects, anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence. • Ensure documentation is maintained and archived as required by law and ALDI standards. • Document performance concerns and complete annual reviews for direct reports. • Supervise day-to-day operations of the team and escalate issues as necessary. • Ensure timely completion of responsibilities by direct reports to provide high customer service. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Physics, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field required. • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Retail Operations or Product Safety required. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Conflict management and problem-solving skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines. Nice-to-haves • Experience in a supervisory role within Quality Assurance or related fields. • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in food safety.
