About the Role   At Equitable, we help clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives- a mission we’ve honed since 1859.     Equitable is seeking a Regional Account Manager (RAM) to join our Employee Benefits team and support the West Region!  The RAM will drive growth, strengthen broker and client partnerships, and deliver a seamless end-to-end experience across a defined territory. As a trusted liaison, you’ll play a critical role in managing the full account lifecycle—from onboarding and renewals to ongoing relationship management—for employer groups with 75 to 249 lives - while proactively identifying opportunities to expand and retain business.   In this highly collaborative role, you’ll partner closely with Sales, Underwriting, and internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions, resolve complex challenges, and elevate the overall client experience - all while contributing directly to the growth and success of our portfolio.  Flexibility with schedule to support clients across Pacific, Mountain and Central Time Zones is needed while.    What You’ll Be Doing   Responsibilities Work with intermediaries (Brokers, GA's, TPA's) and customers within an assigned territory Responsible for building strong partner relationships within the assigned territory and act as their liaison Focus on assigned block of business and identify opportunities for premium growth Provides initial training to Brokers/Customers on our EB360 platform Accountable for the end-to-end account management experience of assigned cases Oversees the renewal process for all cases within the assigned book of business and partners with the Sales Executive on strategy Respond to customer needs proactively. Provide management and project teams with updates on accounts and problem solve.  Identify alternative solutions. Monitor opportunities and organize marketing plans to grow current membership or cross-sell other products. Understand benefit offerings of group insurance and policy language Provide excellent post-sale customer service and solve escalated issues Travel as needed to develop, build and maintain strong broker/consultant and client relationships Maintain up-to-date broker/client information on company applications, business plans and legal requirements Develop strong partnerships with sales, marketing, underwriting, billing, eligibility, claims and customer service   This position offers a remote work schedule that allows you to stay fully engaged with your team to provide outstanding, customer‑focused service during our core hours (8:30 AM–5:30 PM EST). Periodic office visits may be requested based on business needs.    The base salary for this position is $75,000. Prior expertise in the insurance industry (sales, underwriting, operations).   Understanding of employee benefits (life, dental, disability) and RFP process is required. Life and Health License will be required within a specified timeframe   Preferred Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills, also able to speak in front of  groups. Account management, project planning and problem solving experience preferred Must be self motivated, work both independently and as a team, and have strong desire to exceed goals. Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to prioritize and work on numerous responsibilities at one time. Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
