We are seeking a Regional Buyer I, Produce to join our procurement team and support the sourcing and merchandising of high-quality produce in the New York region. The ideal candidate is passionate about fresh food, highly analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the product assortment and drive value for customers while ensuring optimal supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities: Source fresh produce directly from farms, growers, and regional distributors to ensure consistent quality and competitive pricing. Monitor inventory levels and sales data to make data-driven purchasing decisions. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and availability of key products. Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of trends, seasonality, and regional preferences. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with promotions. Ensure all sourced items meet food safety, regulatory, and company standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, agriculture, or related field preferred. 2+ years of produce buying or sourcing experience, ideally in a multicultural or perishable goods setting. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Familiarity with produce categories and regional market dynamics. Bilingual abilities (English/Mandarin or Spanish) a plus. Ability to work onsite or travel within the assigned region as needed.
