Department Admissions Job Purpose
Responsible for the recruitment, engagement, and enrollment of prospective students from Chicago, IL. This role manages a defined geographic territory by developing and executing a strategic recruitment plan, building relationships with key stakeholders, and guiding students and families through the admissions process to meet institutional enrollment goals. This position requires the successful candidate to reside within the Chicago, IL region and work remotely from a home office located in that region.
Essential Duties Territory Management & Recruitment Serve as primary admissions representative for Chicago, IL
Develop and execute territory strategy aligned with enrollment goals
Conduct high school visits, regional fairs, and recruitment events
Build and maintain relationships with counselors, advisors, and community partners
Advise prospective students and families through the admissions process
Plan events, manage travel, and track outreach activities
Analyze recruitment data and provide regular reports and recommendations Student Engagement Deliver in-person and virtual presentations
Conduct interviews and manage prospective student communication
Provide guidance on admissions, academics, and financial aid
Represent the University in a professional, student-centered manner Application Review Conduct holistic application review and evaluate candidate materials
Assess admissibility and make decisions in alignment with standards Additional Skills Required Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships and work independently
Organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred
Goal-oriented, adaptable, and self-motivated
Ability to travel, with extensive travel within Chicago; evenings/weekends as needed
Valid driver’s license
Must reside and work from a home office within the Chicago region
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
