What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle Property & Casualty claims from both reinsurance assumed and ceded perspectives
- Review client submissions for accuracy and confirmation of coverage based on reinsurance contract terms
- Book claims in the reinsurance claims system, whether individually or through bordereau reporting
- Perform detailed claims analysis, including reconciliation of claims balances and tracking of aggregate deductibles
- Generate reports and analyze data to assist in managing claim portfolios
What is Required (Qualifications):
- College degree in business, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of experience in reinsurance or insurance claims management, including claims processing and reporting
- Knowledge of ceded reinsurance claims is a strong plus
- Proficiency in Excel and basic accounting skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with allocating complex claims across multiple reinsurance contracts
- Understanding of interlocking clauses on risk attaching basis losses
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting reinsurance contracts
