Remote Accounting Supervisor

An accounting services firm serving small businesses is seeking a Remote Accounting and Tax Supervisor who can monitor team performance, solve a wide variety of accounting and software issues, and has tax preparation experience with individual and S Corp returns. Job Type: • Must have CPA firm experience Full time, W2 Location: REMOTE within the US Compensation: $75,000- $90,000 DOE Why join our firm? • Flexibility – Must be able to work until 5 MT at least 3 days/week • Work from home but still be part of a team • Make a difference in the lives of our clients • Full Time • PTO & Sick Time • Paid Holidays • Health stipend + dental, vision, and supplemental insurance for FT Employees • Incentive Pay Responsibilities: • Support less experienced team members in completing their tasks and jobs • Train and review the work handed to you by your direct reports • Train and develop the technical skills of direct reports by teaching them more advanced bookkeeping and accounting concepts, assisting with advanced • QuickBooks Online features and problem-solving, and answering bookkeeping, QBO, payroll, and sales tax questions • Ensure that completed accounting work and financial reports generated by the bookkeeping team and QuickBooks Online are 90-100% accurate and on-time Qualifications: • Must have a strong ability to identify problems within financial statements and develop solutions for correcting mistakes within software limitations • Must be well-versed in small business accounting processes and able to prepare accurate year-end reports for delivery to the client and to their tax team • S Corp and Individual tax prep experience is a plus • Ability to explain common tax-saving strategies to clients • CPA or EA (plan for completion in next 12 months is OK) • Degree in finance or related field preferred • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Quickbooks or similar • accounting software • Ability to develop or update existing processes and standard procedures is a plus • Located in Mountain Time Zone is a plus 982662 Apply tot his job
