Job Title: AML Investigator Location: Fully Remote Duration: 3 months Assignment (potential for extension or conversion depends on business needs) Shift/Hours: 40hours/week, Mon–Fri (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Summary: Support the FCRM Customer Exit and Watchlist Management team through Level 2 FCRM Watchlist alert reviews and customer screening activities. This role will assist with high-volume operational initiatives and special projects designed to support regulatory compliance and risk management objectives. Responsibilities may include reviewing the bank's source systems, dispositioning customer screening (FCRM Watchlist) alerts, documenting findings, preparing and filing unusual transaction referrals, and supporting FCRM Watchlist activities, including assisting with data clean-up and FCRM Watchlist maintenance initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Review Level 2 watchlist alerts, Customer screening reviews, Data cleanup and validation activities. Prepare and file unusual transaction referrals, Conduct AML-related investigations and research. Review and disposition customer screening (FCRM Watchlist) alerts and cases in accordance with established procedures and time frames. Conduct research and analysis using internal and external sources to determine whether a customer is a true match or false positive against the FCRM Watchlist. Document findings and maintain accurate case records. Prepare and file Unusual Transaction Referrals (UTRs) as appropriate. Support FCRM Watchlist maintenance activities and data clean-up initiatives. Assist with remediation efforts, backlog reduction, and other risk management projects. Adhere to established productivity, quality, and compliance standards. Minimal daily meetings, Weekly team meeting (~30 minutes), Periodic 1:1 meeting. Must have skills: Experience in AML, sanctions, customer screening, investigations, KYC/CDD/EDD, or related financial crimes functions. Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in one or more of the following: AML, Sanctions, Customer Screening, Watchlist Screening, Investigations, KYC and Financial Crime Operations. Microsoft Office proficiency: Word, Teams, SharePoint and General Microsoft navigation skills. Soft Skills: Strong time management skills. Ability to meet or exceed productivity standards. Open and receptive to feedback. Adaptable and flexible. Nice-To-Have: CAMS or equivalent compliance certification. CDD experience. EDD review experience. Education & Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience. High School Diploma minimum.
