Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Waste Solutions Canada is one of the largest independent management companies for waste and recycling services in Canada. They are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join their Billing team as a Billing Coordinator, responsible for auditing vendor invoices and creating client invoices based on service contracts.
Responsibilities
- Audit vendor invoices
- Read and understand hauling service contracts
- Create client invoices at contracted pricing
- Answer billing-related questions from clients
- Work collaboratively with the Financial Controller, Billing Manager, and all other Waste Solutions Canada team members
- Various finance duties and ad hoc project work as needed
Skills
- Accounting-related degree or diploma and 1+ year of equivalent experience
- Driven to maintain high standards in all tasks
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities on short notice
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with knowledge of other Microsoft Office software (Word, OneNote, etc.)
- Experience working in accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
