Remote Billing Specialist

100% Remote position The Recovery Center, LLC - Corporate Headquarters is looking for qualified candidates with experience in Behavioral Health Medical Billing to join our team. This position is responsible for submitting claims, posting payments & adjustments, rebills, EDI claim submissions, auditing claims, and conducting reconciliation. Overall Responsibility for the Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist: • Determine billing inconsistencies, workflow discrepancies, and develop a work plan for corrections • Prepares and submits claims to multiple insurers for multiple locations • Process denied claims through resolving discrepancies with Program Managers and Clinical Directors • Prepare daily and weekly reports of billing • Obtain and post payments through EOBs to respective client files in the electronic health record • Understand how to read and interpret EDI files. • Maintains confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations. • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. • MUST know how to manually bill. • Must have experience with OH, KY & MD Medicaid programs Qualifications: • Previous medical billing experience along with knowledge of billing-related reporting; 3 - 5 years’ experience in Behavioral health-care billing & collection practices. • Understanding AND Experience with manual billing • Experience working with medical payers such as Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurances. • Working knowledge of medical billing systems/software. • Experience with Medicaid billing platforms • Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems; Coding certification preferred. • BA/BS preferred. • Excellent organizational skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office Suites.
