Remote Bookkeeper (Freelance with Part-Time hours, Project-Based Creative Service Agency)

This role starts with a cleanup project and transitions into ongoing monthly work. If you're skilled in QuickBooks Online, love bringing order to financial systems, and enjoy supporting creative teams, this might be a great fit. Responsibilities: • Clean up and reconcile 2024-early 2025 records in QuickBooks Online (QBO) • Categorize transactions accurately using job/client coding • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loans monthly • Generate accurate P&Ls, Balance Sheets, and basic cash flow reports • Handle invoicing and track accounts receivable • Collaborate with our internal admin and owner via Monday.com and email • Support basic cash flow visibility and job costing insights (a plus, not a must) Qualifications What We're Looking For: • Minimum 3 years of experience with QuickBooks Online • Experience using QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) or similar accountant tools • Excellent communication, documentation, and independent working skills • Familiarity with project-based or creative service businesses is a big plus • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain consistency with monthly reporting • Comfortable working 100% remotely and coordinating with a small, creative team Security & Access: • This role does not include access to payroll or check writing • Vendor payments are managed solely by the owner-no payment permissions will be granted • Background check and reference checks will be conducted prior to engagement • Strict separation of duties is maintained to ensure security and trus Additional Information To Apply: Please submit your resume along with a short note using the messaging part of this job site answering the following: • Why are you interested in this role? • What experience do you have working with QuickBooks Online and project-based or creative businesses? • Do you currently use QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA)? • What is your typical availability and workflow for ongoing part-time clients?
