They are seeking a Business Development Data Analyst to support corporate operations by collecting and analyzing data to inform strategic business development decisions and optimize CRM systems.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources including market research, competitive intelligence, and internal performance metrics
- Transform complex datasets into clear, concise executive summaries and presentations for the Chief Growth Officer
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pipeline health, win rates, and revenue forecasts
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic business development decisions
- Maintain and optimize CRM systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Generate regular reports and dashboards tracking opportunities, customer interactions, and sales activities
- Support pipeline management through systematic data entry, updates, and quality control
- Develop and implement processes to improve CRM utilization across the business development team
- Draft comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for executive leadership
- Prepare market analyses, competitive assessments, and capability gap analyses
- Create standardized reporting templates and processes to improve efficiency
- Maintain documentation of business development processes, best practices, and lessons learned
- Conduct comprehensive competitive intelligence research on key competitors, teaming partners, and market players
- Monitor and analyze competitor capabilities, past performance, contract wins/losses, and strategic positioning
- Track competitor leadership changes, acquisitions, partnerships, and other significant developments
- Develop competitive profiles and assessments to inform capture strategy and proposal positioning
- Analyze contract award data to identify competitor strengths, weaknesses, and win patterns
- Maintain a competitive intelligence database with actionable insights for the business development team
- Assist in the preparation of capture planning materials and pursuit decisions
- Support proposal efforts through data analysis and content development
- Provide competitive analysis inputs for Black Hat reviews and proposal strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional information gathering to support strategic initiatives
Skills
- Clearance: Most be able to obtain and maintain an active clearance if necessary
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of professional experience in business analysis, data analytics, or related role
- Experience working with CRM platforms (C2P, Salesforce, Deltek, or similar)
- Proficiency in CRM systems and database management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for executive presentations
- Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple data sources
- Demonstrated ability to parse complex data and distill key insights
- Strong competitive intelligence gathering and analysis capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messages for executive audiences
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to translate technical information into business-relevant insights
- Experience synthesizing information from multiple sources to develop actionable intelligence
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Discretion in handling sensitive business information

- Previous experience in government contracting or defense sector preferred
