They are seeking a highly motivated entry level Business Development Representative to drive growth by generating and nurturing qualified leads in the state and local government sector.
Responsibilities
- Demand Generation & Growth Marketing
- Create a demand generation strategy that supports VIP’s growth objectives
- Work with marketing to plan and execute multi-channel campaigns that include social, webinars, email, and paid ads that drive inbound traffic
- Coordinate and promote webinars and other events involving business stakeholders and external partners
- Follow-up with conference attendees
- Continually analyze effectiveness of your efforts to make data-driven improvements
- Content & Product Marketing
- Work with internal stakeholders and partners to create targeted content that drives lead generation among VIP’s target customers
- Distribute content across various channels to promote prospect engagement
- Nurture leads through the sales funnel by developing targeted content including emails, web content, blog posts, case studies, etc
- Own and execute the social media strategy, primarily focusing on LinkedIn
- Optimize VIP’s SEO strategy for web-based content and prepare the company to score highly in AI-based search
- Develop, track, and report on KPIs to focus on continuous improvement of your efforts
- Lead Generation & Nurturing
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and track conversion through the funnel
- Ensure all leads are either with sales or are in email nurtures for latent warming
- Budget Management
- Manage and allocate budgets across demand generation channels
- Monitor spending and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), adjusting strategies to maximize marketing investments
Skills
- 1 year of sales experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or IT services
- Experience conducting meetings with leads with the goal being to gather basic business needs to qualify the lead
- Self-starter, able to execute independently and work cross-functionally
