Remote Business Tax Preparer - 3+ Yrs Experience Required

About the position Responsibilities • Provide expert guidance and tax preparation for business tax returns. • Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. • Interact with customers using video communications software to assist with tax-related inquiries. • Document customer interactions and ensure compliance with company policies. • Participate in pilot testing and projects as needed. Requirements • 3+ years of experience in business tax preparation, specifically for federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S). • Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year. • Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season. • Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software. • Possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). • Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation. • Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers. • Knowledge of Circular 230.
