Responsibilities
As a successful Fundraiser, you will:
- Make outbound fundraising calls to existing or potential donors using a script
- Process credit card gifts and work with Coaches to optimize success
- Answer incoming calls from prospective customers and provide information about candidates or causes
- Accurately record donor information in our computer system and correctly code calls
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should:
- Possess excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Be friendly, patient, and cool-tempered, with the ability to handle aggressive or complaining callers
- Have a strong understanding of politics and be inclined to support progressive democratic causes
- Have at least 1 year of experience in telesales, fundraising, or a related field (inbound/outbound calls, polling, surveys, membership, outreach, or proxy calls)
