Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. firstPRO is partnering with a growing outsourced accounting and advisory organization that’s adding an Accounting Manager to the team due to continued growth. The role involves leading and mentoring accounting staff, overseeing general ledger activities, and providing financial insights to clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor accounting staff across multiple client engagements
- Oversee general ledger activity, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Train and develop team members
- Prepare and review month-end journal entries
- Deliver and analyze monthly financial statements
- Present recommendations and financial insights to clients
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Assist with audits and special projects
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of leadership/management experience
- Experience in outsourced accounting is required
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- CPA preferred but not required
- QuickBooks Desktop & Online experience preferred
