Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rakuten Symphony is reimagining telecom and disrupting industry norms. They are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to lead the transition to AI-native ecosystems and to architect the narrative for the next generation of Telecom.
Responsibilities
- Challenge industry incumbents by shifting the market focus from legacy metrics (e.g., ARPU) to high-value outcomes (e.g., LTV and Autonomous Efficiency)
- Leverage deep technical fluency—from AI agent orchestration to modern software stacks—to translate complex engineering breakthroughs into compelling, high-growth business strategies
- Own the marketing-to-revenue engine. Partner with Product and Finance to drive the GTM strategy that delivers sustainable operating profit and large-scale customer adoption
- Position the company as the leader in Level 4 autonomy and agentic enterprise solutions, turning internal R&D milestones into measurable market advantages
- You represent a critical strategic asset —a leader who masters both the 'how' and the 'why.' You possess the technical literacy to collaborate directly with Engineering and the executive presence to influence Board-level strategy
Skills
- 15~20+ years of relevant leadership experience, including a proven track record in direct team management and organizational development
- Track record of driving large-scale migrations and market-shifting product rollouts
- Understanding and leadership in transformation of online AI discovery, traffic patterns, and citations
- Experience identifying and leading industry-wide paradigm shifts (e.g., move to software-defined, cloud-native, or autonomous platforms)
- Demonstrated ability to build influential platforms (newsletters, tech series) that disrupt the status quo and cultivate a loyal, technical audience
- Proven success in aligning marketing spend with P&L objectives and non-GAAP profitability
