The Role If you've ever wondered if a remote role exists with great flexibility, this might be for you. This position offers part-time hours and an opportunity to work from home! Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20hrs/wk availability Monday - Friday during CST/EST business hours. Possibility of moving into a full-time position. In this role you will: • Be the primary point of contact for multiple clients. • Review accountant work for accuracy and completeness. • Proactively communicate with clients and your team to ensure accurate, complete and timely delivery of financial statements to our clients by the 15th of each month. • Help define and document client processes. • Make recommendations for process improvements. • Identify problems and lead the execution of solutions. • Remotely/virtually manage a team of accountants. • Develop accountants by setting expectations, providing support, providing timely descriptive feedback, managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships. • Lead with a dedication to drive and achieve results. • Perform ad hoc reports and requests. Requirements • 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller for a company under $20M in annual revenue • 3+ years management experience with multiple direct reports • Experience managing multiple engagements/projects simultaneously (multiple industries preferred) • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational abilities across all levels of an organization • Power user level of proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Excel • Strong experience with project work in QBO - conversion, set up, clean-up work • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines, which may include evenings and/or weekends to accomplish. We make promises to our clients about delivery of their financials so delivering work on time is non-negotiable. • Bachelor's degree required; Degree in Accounting strongly preferred. CPA preferred • Experience and proficiency with Karbon Accounting Workflow software is preferred We are not currently accepting applications from residents of the State of Colorado.
