The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for key areas of the corporate accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting ongoing process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own key aspects of the monthly corporate close process
- Prepare and post complex journal entries
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Account for corporate overhead expenses and shared service allocations
- Ensure timely, accurate, and audit-ready financial reporting
- Manage intercompany accounting across domestic and international entities
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany balances and elimination entries
- Partner with accounting teams globally to resolve intercompany differences
- Coordinate intercompany settlements and ensure balances are properly reconciled
- Support accounting involving multiple functional currencies and foreign exchange considerations
- Support the monthly consolidation process across multiple entities
- Prepare consolidation workpapers and elimination entries
- Investigate and resolve consolidation variances
- Ensure corporate accounting activity flows accurately into consolidated financial statements
- Maintain accounting for corporate debt, including interest accruals, principal activity, amortization schedules, and supporting documentation
- Support accounting for debt modifications, refinancing activities, and other complex accounting transactions
- Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to technical accounting matters as needed
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations
- Account for employee reimbursements and shared corporate expenses
- Partner with Payroll and Human Resources to ensure accurate period-end reporting
- Prepare account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation
- Support SOX compliance and internal control initiatives
- Assist with process improvements, accounting standardization, and finance transformation projects
- Support external audit requests and ensure documentation is audit-ready
Skills
- Active CPA license required
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong corporate accounting experience within a multi-entity organization
- Experience owning or supporting a corporate month-end close
- Hands-on experience with: Global intercompany accounting, Intercompany eliminations, Consolidations, Corporate journal entries, Balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience working with international entities and multiple functional currencies
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles
- Experience operating in a SOX-compliant or audit-intensive environment
- Experience working with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, Infor, or similar)
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or large regional firm)
- Experience supporting a public company or private equity-backed organization
- Experience with finance transformation initiatives or ERP implementations
- Manufacturing, industrial, or other complex global operating company experience
