As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in delivering top-notch service to borrowers, helping them manage their debt and achieve financial stability.
About the Role
We're actively recruiting for future openings for the Customer Service Representative (Hybrid) position, and we're starting the recruitment process now to ensure we have the best candidates ready when the positions become available. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for borrowers, providing personalized support and guidance on their student loan debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming borrower calls, chats, and make outbound calls in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Counsel and inform borrowers of their repayment options, deferments, and forbearance eligibility, taking payments and updating their accounts efficiently.
- Locate needed information quickly, minimizing hold times for borrowers and ensuring seamless issue resolution.
- Maintain the security and privacy of borrower information, protecting both the borrower and our partners.
- Work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to productivity.
- Utilize strong computer skills to navigate our systems and technology, ensuring accurate and efficient service delivery.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; some college or bachelor's degree preferred.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment cognitive and personality assessment.
- The capacity to obtain a Federal 5C Security Clearance and credit check.
- Residency in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
- Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask (type while talking).
- A reliable home internet connection with at least 10 mg capacity and a router for ethernet cord.
- A dedicated workspace at home that is free from noise and distractions.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy:
- Previous experience in customer service, particularly in a call center or support environment.
- Familiarity with student loan programs and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
