Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Point of Rental Software is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support multiple enterprise multi-tenant cloud applications. The role involves deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations to meet customer needs while working within a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain new development pipelines and infrastructure
- Automate and enhance development and release processes
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Build tools to reduce errors and improve customer experience
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
Skills
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer
- 3–5 years of experience with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
- 3–5 years of hands-on AWS experience
- Proficient with the Linux command line interface
- Strong scripting skills in Python (preferred), Bash, or other languages
- Familiarity with deployment/management tools such as Jenkins, AWS SSM, Rundeck
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to write efficient scripts to automate repetitive tasks
- Hands-on approach to delivering 'quick win' performance improvements
- Willingness to work outside of traditional hours if required by the business
- Comfortable with Windows environments
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis)
- Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Docker
