GHR Healthcare is seeking a Senior Epic Certified Ambulatory Analyst responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support of the Epic Ambulatory application. This role involves partnering with various stakeholders to enhance ambulatory workflows and improve patient care while leading complex initiatives and mentoring junior analysts.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization of Epic Ambulatory application functionality
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, operations, and cross-functional IT teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Epic solutions
- Design and optimize ambulatory workflows including:
- Provider documentation
- Clinical decision support
- Orders
- In Basket
- SmartTools (SmartPhrases, SmartTexts, SmartSets)
- Preference Lists
- Navigators
- Order Panels
- Visit Types
- Specialty-specific workflows
- Perform application build, testing, validation, and troubleshooting while ensuring adherence to Epic and organizational standards
- Lead workflow assessments and recommend process improvements to enhance provider efficiency, patient access, and clinical outcomes
- Participate in full lifecycle Epic implementations, Community Connect deployments, optimization initiatives, upgrades, and Go-Live support
- Coordinate integrated testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution
- Develop system documentation including functional specifications, workflows, build documentation, testing scripts, and change management documentation
- Support incident management, production support, root cause analysis, and timely resolution of application issues
- Collaborate with Epic technical services, third-party vendors, interface teams, and ancillary application teams
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance across Ambulatory projects
- Participate in on-call support rotation and production support activities as required
Skills
- Epic Ambulatory Certification (current and in good standing)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5-7 years of Epic Ambulatory build and support experience
- Experience supporting large integrated healthcare systems or academic medical centers
- Full lifecycle Epic implementation experience
- Strong knowledge of ambulatory clinical workflows and provider documentation
- Experience with integrated testing, upgrade planning, and application optimization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
- Epic Community Connect experience
- Additional Epic certifications such as: MyChart, Cadence, Prelude, Referrals, Orders, Healthy Planet, Wisdom
- Experience with: ServiceNow, Data Courier, Sherlock, Release Management, Change Control, Agile project methodology
- Experience mentoring junior analysts or serving as a technical lead
