The role involves managing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and month-end activities, while providing financial insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly expense accruals
- Generate monthly financial reports
- Prepare and review monthly variance analysis and commentary
- Prepare and review monthly expense forecasts
- Support annual budget preparation activities
- Assist with strategic planning initiatives
- Contribute to management reporting processes
- Handle ad hoc financial analyses, assignments, and special projects as needed
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting deliverables
- Month-end accrual preparation and review
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Forecasting and budget tracking
- Variance investigation and commentary preparation
- Responding to business and leadership requests
- Completing special financial projects and analyses
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Microsoft Excel (advanced proficiency preferred)
- General computer proficiency
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
- Experience managing financial planning and analysis activities
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders
