Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UPS is a Fortune Global 500 organization seeking an Industrial Engineer I to work with engineering departments. The role involves developing and implementing operational processes, training resources, and leading project implementations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and deploy approved operational processes and best practices consistently throughout the company
- Train I.E. resources in the approved processes and standards for work measurement application
- Maintain the SCS database which houses such information
- Assist the I.E. departments in special reengineering or new projects
- Take a lead role in planning and execution of large project implementations or training initiatives
- Manage other subject matter experts to ensure timelines and project deliverables are met
- Develop Web Application training material for use by Operation Trainers
- Coordinate Operation Trainers efforts in field training
- Supervise others
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
- Excellent composition and creative writing skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Basic understanding of Auto CAD
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
- Must have a flexible travel schedule (weekends and non-business hours included)
- Must be currently located in the same geographic location(s) as the job or willing to relocate yourself
- Logistics & Distribution environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
- Experience in Logistics & Distribution environment
- 1-2 yrs Project Management Experience
