Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Better Speech is seeking a highly motivated and experienced K-12 educational sales Account Executive to join their growing team. This role is crucial for expanding Streamline’s reach by identifying, engaging, and closing new partnerships with special education directors and district leadership across the country.
Responsibilities
- Own the Full Sales Cycle: Prospect, qualify, present, and close new district partnerships from start to finish
- Identify and Engage Key Decision-Makers: Proactively identify and build strong relationships with special education directors, superintendents, and other key district leadership
- Deliver Compelling Presentations: Conduct engaging and tailored presentations and product demonstrations of the Streamline platform, showcasing its value and addressing the specific needs of each district
- Navigate Complex Sales Environments: Manage a pipeline of opportunities with multiple stakeholders, addressing diverse requirements and navigating complex sales cycles with agility
- Negotiate and Close Deals: Develop and negotiate contracts to secure new partnerships, ensuring a smooth hand-off to our customer success team for successful implementation
- Represent Streamline: Attend conferences, industry events, and webinars to generate leads, network, and build brand awareness
- Contribute to Sales Strategy: Provide crucial market feedback and insights from the field to our product and marketing teams to help refine our strategy and product roadmap
- Maintain Sales Discipline & KPIs: Consistently maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM, as well as track daily/weekly KPIs
Skills
- 5+ years of progressive experience in K-12 education technology sales, with a strong focus on selling to school districts
- Deep understanding of the special education landscape, including common challenges, regulatory requirements, and funding mechanisms
- High empathy and emotional intelligence, the ability to understand customer goals and find workable solutions to their needs
- Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding sales quotas as an individual contributor
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with high-level executives
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced, independent environment
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to sales and a knack for identifying growth opportunities
- Proficient with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools
- Proficiency in HubSpot CRM software and other sales enablement tools
- A Bachelor's degree is required
- Willing and able to travel as needed to meet with prospects and attend events
- Master's degree in Education, Business, or a related field
