Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Global Impact is a trusted philanthropy advisor and nonprofit partner that drives strategic philanthropy for various sectors. The Manager, Sub-Grants will oversee operations related to sub-granting for assigned projects, manage the proposal submission process, and ensure compliance and due diligence throughout the grant process.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Asana-based sub-grant proposal submission system for assigned projects, in coordination with the Grants & Governance Team
- Communicate with subgrantees to secure the information and documentation needed to evaluate sub-grant requests
- Conduct preliminary compliance reviews of submitted sub-grant requests
- Oversee subgrantee due diligence, including review of narratives, budgets, Form 990s, audits, related documents, and media scans
- Identify, flag, and triage compliance or due diligence issues with the Director, Operations & Compliance
- Draft grant agreements and liaise with projects and subgrantees as needed throughout the agreement process
- Collaborate with team members on agreement execution and post-execution tasks
- Supervise the Compliance Administrative Associate on work related to sub-grants
Skills
- At least five years of proven experience in a similar role
- Experience working in compliance, contracting, finance, and/or leadership with affiliated 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow through, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt as priorities shift
- Strong technical proficiency with Asana and Microsoft programs
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an inquisitive and intuitive approach to resolving issues
