They are seeking a Marketing Program Director to lead the strategy and development of digital-first content that supports their mission and enhances patient care through effective storytelling and engagement across various channels.
Responsibilities
• Define and lead the enterprise content marketing strategy for scientific and biotherapies audiences with a digital-first approach.
• Partner with subject matter experts to translate complex research and technical concepts into engaging, compliant, audience-specific content.
• Oversee the planning, production, and distribution of content across Vitalant’s websites, social platforms, and partner channels.
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing to ensure all content is optimized for SEO, user experience, and analytics visibility.
• Implement scalable content systems and use AI-assisted tools (such as transcription, drafting, and workflow automation) to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Create compelling “proof stories” that showcase outcomes, partnerships, and scientific impact to elevate Vitalant’s thought leadership.
• Manage program budgets and vendor partnerships to ensure fiscal accuracy and high-quality execution.
• Track content performance metrics and refine strategies using data-driven insights.
• Tailor complexity, tone, and style for scientific and professional audiences—maintaining credibility, clarity, and precision.
Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years’ experience in content marketing and scientific communications (life sciences or healthcare preferred), with 3 years’ experience managing a team.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-program portfolios and advising at the senior leadership level.
• Proven ability to drive organizational alignment, influence across functions, and deliver results at scale.
• Exceptional strategic planning and program design capabilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Executive-level communication and influence skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives through collaboration and governance.
• Proficiency in digital platforms, analytics, and change management tools.
• Recognized for thought leadership, judgment, and ability to guide enterprise priorities.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean, Agile) preferred.
