Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. iboss is changing the way organizations secure their users, devices, and data with their cloud-native Zero Trust SASE platform. The Mid-Market Account Executive will own a defined territory, build pipeline, and drive the full sales cycle to sell the platform to IT and security leaders at commercial organizations.
Responsibilities
- Own a commercial territory and develop a strategic plan to drive net new logo acquisition and revenue growth
- Build pipeline independently through outbound prospecting, partner engagement, industry networking, and leveraging marketing programs
- Run the full sales cycle — discovery, qualification, technical evaluation, negotiation, and close — with minimal hand-holding
- Conduct compelling discovery conversations and solution presentations that connect iboss capabilities to the specific security challenges and business goals of each prospect
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT directors, security managers, and other key decision-makers across your accounts
- Collaborate with channel partners to co-develop pipeline and bring deals to close within your territory
- Work closely with Sales Engineers to deliver technically credible evaluations that differentiate iboss from the competition
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecast data in Salesforce
- Stay current on the competitive landscape, emerging threats, and market trends to position iboss effectively in every conversation
Skills
- 3+ years of quota-carrying, full-cycle field sales experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise software
- A genuine hunter — someone with a proven ability to self-generate pipeline and open new business without relying on inbound leads
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a commercial or mid-market sales role
- Experience selling through and with channel partners as part of a channel-first or channel-assisted sales motion
- Ability to articulate complex technical solutions clearly to both technical practitioners and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts — network security, web filtering, Zero Trust, SASE, or cloud security — is a strong advantage
- High sense of urgency, strong organizational habits, and a disciplined approach to territory management
- Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM
- Prior experience selling network security, cloud security, secure web gateways, or Zero Trust/SASE solutions
- Existing relationships with IT and security buyers in your target market
- Demonstrated success winning competitive deals against established vendors
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
