Remote Part-time Audit Accountant

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Part-time Audit Accountant to join a distinguished small accounting firm based in downtown Indianapolis. This position offers a unique hybrid work model, allowing you to blend in-office responsibilities with the convenience of remote work. This role is particularly suited for a professional eager to engage in a critical initial project, anticipated to require 15-20 hours weekly starting in January. Upon successful project completion, there is a promising potential for continued monthly engagement. Key Responsibilities • Provide robust audit and accounting support for the initial project and any subsequent needs. • Ensure adherence to relevant audit standards, including obtaining Yellow Book education for single audits. • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members in a professional setting. • Leverage tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Teams to streamline task management. Required Skills • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Teams. • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with stakeholders and team members. • Comfort in seeking clarification and asking questions as necessary. • Ability to collaborate professionally with diverse teams. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience. • Access to a personal laptop for work purposes is essential. • Non-profit experience is advantageous. • Current QuickBooks Pro Advisor or equivalent certification is preferred. • Must possess Yellow Book education for single audits (20 hours of CPE). • Ability to commute to the downtown Indianapolis office is required. • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is preferred.
