Ursus, Inc. is focused on enhancing communication across languages, and they are seeking a Localization Program Manager to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with Product and internationalization teams to ensure products feel local on a global scale, managing relationships and frameworks for successful localization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Marketing, etc.) to launch successful localized products
- Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to various products and diverse content types
- Guide stakeholders to ensure localization best practices are followed and drive efficient execution
- Proactively identify and streamline technical and process issues that affect localized product relevancy, quality, and functionality
- Actively seek out opportunities to optimize the international user experience and influence adoption of optimal solutions
- Partner across internationalization to ensure the right resources are in place and all deliveries are completed at the expected standards
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in localization program or project management
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience in localization/internationalization project or program management
- Experience communicating across and driving results among a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, working across time zones and international offices
- Experience identifying and driving forward work in an ambiguous environment
- Experience analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions
- Skilled in building and optimizing complex workflows
- Track record of staying focused, prioritizing, and creating structure across large, ambiguous programs while setting goals for long-term initiatives
- Knowledge of additional languages other than English
- Exposure to SQL, analytics tools, or a coding language
- Thorough understanding of translation technologies like translation memories, machine translation, and CAT tools
- Familiarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDR
- Experience working with localization vendors
- Knowledge of AI technologies and potential applications in localization workflows
