Overview The Commissioner plays a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the strategic direction of our organization. This position requires a dynamic leader with exceptional negotiation skills and a strong background in talent acquisition and human resources. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of employment and labor law, as well as the ability to manage relationships effectively across various levels of the organization. The Commissioner will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and performance. Duties • Lead and manage the recruitment process, including executive recruiting, campus recruitment, and internal recruiting efforts. • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies that align with organizational goals. • Utilize various ATS platforms such as Lever, Workday, iCIMS, and Taleo to streamline recruiting processes. • Conduct interviews and evaluate candidates to ensure the best fit for organizational needs. • Oversee employee orientation programs to facilitate smooth onboarding experiences. • Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment. • Collaborate with HR teams on succession planning, training & development initiatives, and employee evaluation processes. • Utilize social media management tools for employer branding and talent sourcing. • Engage in cold calling and lead generation activities to build a robust candidate pipeline. • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while managing contracts related to hiring processes. Qualifications • Proven experience in negotiation, technical recruiting, talent management, and HR sourcing. • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. • Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Salesforce, or similar platforms is preferred. • Demonstrated ability in research related to market trends in recruitment and employee engagement strategies. • Knowledge of employment & labor law is essential for maintaining compliance within the organization. • Experience with social media management for recruitment purposes is an advantage. • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results through collaboration.
