Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Life, Disability and Voluntary Division as a Regional Sales Executive in the Eastern PA, Southern NJ and Delaware region. The role involves consultative selling, building relationships with brokers, and executing sales plans to increase market penetration in Workforce Benefits.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for developing and nurturing both existing and new broker relationships in your market to increase Symetra's penetration of the Voluntary Benefits market
- Conduct face-to-face consultative meetings with your brokers to understand their customers' needs and provide a competitive solution to them
- Maintain and strengthen your relationship with existing brokers to ensure policy renewals and close new business opportunities
- Cultivate quality partnerships with your sales peers, support, and services teams as well as internal partners
- Meet the minimum face-to-face interactions with your brokers, including your call, quote and closed sales activity as defined by Symetra through your annual business plan
- Responsible for maximizing enrollment results through a firm understanding of each client’s enrollment methodology, enrollment communication plan, and enrollment systems, in partnership with the Director of Enrollment
- Provide advice on effective enrollment strategies and review any materials that are being provided to enrollees to ensure that Symetra’s products are well positioned
- Build a robust annual business plan. You will build, review and gain approval for your business plan with the support of your manager
- Modify your plan as needed to achieve your sales targets, profitability, and client retention
Skills
- Must reside in the states that make up your territory (DE, NJ, PA)
- Experience in consultative and solution-based selling
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients
- Knowledge of industry trends, market intelligence, and product information for Workforce Benefits
- Experience in developing and executing sales plans
- Ability to manage target account lists and pipeline management
- Experience in conducting face-to-face consultative meetings
- Ability to maximize enrollment results through understanding of client's enrollment methodology
- Experience in providing advice on effective enrollment strategies
- Ability to build and modify an annual business plan to achieve sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel as required
