Contura Vet is a global Medical Technology company developing and manufacturing innovative hydrogel-based therapies across animal health. The Regional Sales Manager, Companion Animal, is responsible for driving commercial growth and market expansion of Arthramid® within the companion animal veterinary market across an assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional business plan to drive adoption of Arthramid® within the companion animal veterinary market
- Achieve or exceed regional revenue targets and key performance indicators
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities within companion animal practices, specialty and referral hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, corporate veterinary groups, and academic institutions
- Expand utilization within existing accounts while actively prospecting and developing new veterinary customers
- Manage distributor relationships, corporate accounts, and direct sales channels within the territory
- Conduct regular field visits to veterinary practices, specialty hospitals, and academic institutions to support account development and customer engagement
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, activity reporting, and forecasting using CRM platforms, including Salesforce
- Deliver clinical and technical presentations on the mechanism of action, implant science, clinical outcomes, and appropriate use of Contura Vet's hydrogel therapies
- Provide procedural training and hands-on implant support to ensure successful clinical adoption and positive patient outcomes
- Provide in-clinic and operating room case-coverage support during Arthramid® procedures; this is an evolving and growing component of the role
- Support continuing education programs, product demonstrations, and regional clinical training initiatives
- Monitor trends in companion animal orthopedics, osteoarthritis management, and sports medicine, sharing market insights with the commercial leadership team
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with veterinary key opinion leaders (KOLs), practice owners, clinical directors, and veterinary nurses
- Represent Contura Vet at veterinary conferences, industry meetings, and continuing education events
- Support partnerships with veterinary universities, research organizations, and professional associations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, veterinary technical services, and training teams to support commercial initiatives
- Provide structured feedback on customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required; veterinary, animal science, life science, or biomedical background preferred
- 5+ years of field sales experience with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience in medical devices, capital equipment, animal med-tech, or related clinical sales environment
- Proven ability to sell technique-dependent or procedurally oriented products requiring clinical education and customer support
- Comfortable operating in veterinary clinical and procedural settings, including operating rooms and specialty hospital environments
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel 60–75% within the assigned region, including overnight travel and weekends
- Experience selling into companion animal specialty or referral practices, corporate veterinary groups, or veterinary academic institutions
- Background in human medical devices (orthopedics, sports medicine, or surgical implants) with a passion for veterinary medicine
- Pharmaceutical or animal health industry experience is recognized as a relevant transferable background
- Familiarity with companion animal joint health, osteoarthritis, orthopedic rehabilitation, or sports medicine
- Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM and sales analytics platforms
