Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SurePay is the leading account verification platform, relied upon by 250+ banks and thousands of organizations, to prevent fraud, misdirected payments, and reputational damage. The Sales Director will be the first dedicated US hire, tasked with introducing SurePay AVS to the American banking landscape and managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing.
Responsibilities
- Drive New Business: Proactively generate opportunities through strategic outreach, high-level networking, and marketing-led initiatives
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with our Head of US and dedicated pre sales engineer to support deal progression and successfully negotiate and close deals
- Evangelize the Solution: Educate the market on SurePay AVS and future fraud-prevention tooling. You’ll need to articulate value even while technical features are still being refined
- Full-Cycle Ownership: Manage the complex sales cycle from initial contact to closing, navigating C-level stakeholders and complex bank hierarchies
- Market Intelligence: Act as our eyes and ears, providing feedback on competitive positioning and US-specific requirements to help shape the product roadmap
Skills
- 8 - 10 years experience in selling software solutions, working with US financial institutions
- Proven knowledge about AVS, account validation, fraud prevention, or payment risk solutions, as well as understanding of US payment rails (ACH/Nacha, RTP, FedNow)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales processes from lead generation to successful deal close
- Ability to engage C-level executives, navigate complex organizations, and orchestrate executive alignment during the sales process
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are comfortable with ambiguity and 'unknowns.' You don't need a finished manual to start selling; you help build the manual
- Proactive Communicator: You don't wait for instructions. You reach out to colleagues in the NL, ask for what you need, and anticipate market shifts before they happen
- Consultative Pitcher: You can translate complex technical features into clear business ROI for executive stakeholders
