[Remote] Senior Accountant, Financial Close

As a Senior Accountant on the Accounting team, you will play a critical role in the financial closing process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide valuable financial insights. Responsibilities • Perform both routine and non-routine/complex monthly close responsibilities • Analyze books and records on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness • Ensure compliance with GAAP and international statutory reporting requirements • Liaise with external audit firm on both routine and non routine matters • Participate in and guide the the development, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and internal controls • Assist in designing new processes and enhance existing ones; implement scalable processes to support the Paxos’ growth, and drive continuous improvement • Enable Paxos to meet internal and external reporting requirements • Immerse yourself in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency for enterprises and investors, our regulation-first approach, and more! Skills • A minimum of 3 years of combined experience in public accounting (audit) and private/in-house accounting • Experience in start-ups and/or financial services • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA license and strong knowledge of GAAP • Experience overseeing and managing accounting staff • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP or other cloud-based accounting software • Strong drive to continuously improve the accounting operations, controls and financial reporting processes, including leveraging systems and technologies to improve workflows and scalability • Excellent organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills Benefits • Competitive total compensation and benefits package • Equity • Bonuses based on both your individual performance and company performance Company Overview • Paxos is a regulated financial institution building infrastructure to enable movement between physical and digital assets.
