The Senior Consultant, Quality Improvement Management & Client Success role supports clients across providers, hospitals, state Medicaid agencies, and managed care organizations by delivering expertise in quality measurement, population health analytics, and quality improvement initiatives. This role involves project execution, data analysis, client support, and collaboration across teams to drive quality and population health program success.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day work on traditional CMS quality/value-based care projects such as Directed Payment Programs, 105 Quality initiatives, workforce initiatives and others, including development of quality components and documentation aligned to CMS requirements and state expectations
- Participate in internal and external meetings; track tasks, risks, and timelines; and prepare client-ready materials that connect financing models with quality strategies and outcomes
- Prepare and deliver internal and client-facing presentations and materials that explain quality processes, policy context, program impact and project progress in accessible terms
- Aggregate and analyze quality and population health data (including claims/encounters) to assess performance, identify gaps, and inform recommendations
- Contribute to measure selection, target setting, measure definition documents, reporting templates, dashboards, and evaluation summaries that demonstrate program impact
- Assist in designing and operationalizing gap-closure workflows, risk stratification, and care management processes that complement financing and quality program goals
- Translate analytic 7.findings into practical action steps for clinical and operational teams
- Monitor state and federal policy developments and CMS quality guidance, synthesizing implications for CMS financed programs (DPPs, 105s) and quality/population health scopes; brief project teams and clients
- Partner with internal teams in a matrixed environment to scope analytics, define data requirements, interpret outputs, and produce integrated deliverables
- Help convert analytic insights into operational recommendations and quality interventions
- Support Constyn onboarding and workflows (e.g., dashboard interpretation, cohort/risk views, performance reporting); provide voice-of-client feedback to enhance product utility
- Support firmwide strategic initiatives, tool development, and cross-department projects; perform additional responsibilities consistent with the role’s scope and expertise
- Contribute to internal training and team knowledge assets
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required (Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Health Administration or related)
- 5–10 years in healthcare quality improvement, quality measurement, and/or healthcare consulting/operations
- Experience with value-based care models, pay for performance programs and experience supporting quality improvement/population health initiatives (gap closure, risk/care management, claims/encounter data)
- Knowledge of quality measures across payers (e.g., NCQA HEDIS, CMS Core Sets) and comfort interpreting analytic outputs to inform recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to translate complex policy and analytics into practical guidance
- Organization and multitasking across several projects; initiative with appropriate escalation; collaborates effectively in a matrixed environment; serves as a role model for junior colleagues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficiency with Microsoft collaboration tools: SharePoint, Teams
- Advanced degree preferred or additional relevant experience in lieu of an advanced degree
- CPHQ Preferred
- Experience with business intelligence software (Tableau/Power BI), project management software (Smartsheet) or statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) a plus
