Lawrence Harvey is supporting an organization looking for an experienced GCP / Salesforce Data Engineer to lead the modernization of an existing Salesforce and Google Cloud data integration platform. The role involves designing and implementing a scalable data pipeline and collaborating closely with Salesforce and Analytics Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Assess and understand the existing Salesforce ↔ Google Cloud data integration architecture
- Design and implement a modern, scalable data pipeline between GCP and Salesforce
- Build and optimize production ETL/ELT pipelines
- Work with BigQuery and other Google Cloud services to support analytics and operational reporting
- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, and engineering teams on data architecture and integration
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data ingestion processes
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials
- Train internal engineering teams and support the handover of the solution
Skills
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Advanced Python and SQL development skills
- Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience with BigQuery
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external platforms
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub version control
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with the Google Cloud Salesforce Connector or Google Cloud Integration Connectors
- Salesforce data architecture or Salesforce Administration experience
- Experience designing cloud-native integration solutions
- CI/CD or DevOps experience within Google Cloud
