The Senior IT Project Manager - Infrastructure/Security will manage multiple medium to large size system-wide projects, enhancing project management techniques and mentoring less experienced project managers.
Responsibilities
- Leading projects Leads project teams through planning, executing, and controlling activities that result in completing deliverables that meet the customers requirements. Common project work includes planning for project scope, budget, schedule, resource management, risk management, performance management, and stakeholder management. Leads multiple medium to large complex projects simultaneously while proactively identifying and managing stakeholders, validating customer, business and technical success factors, expectations and communicates effectively with project stakeholders. Leads projects in a manner consistent with the IS PMO methodology. Monitors compliance with project management standards. Promotes effective communication with internal and external customers. Effectively communicates with executives. Engages project sponsors regularly to improve project outcomes. Effectively facilitates and presents at project meetings. Effectively solves problems and facilitates decision making
- Provides leadership in Information Services or respective department. Takes an active role in continually advancing and improving project management practices and actively leads initiatives to accomplish departmental goals. Serves in the role of a mentor to new or less experienced project managers. Coaches project managers to improve performance, as appropriate. Sets an example for project accountability and professional behavior. Promotes a team atmosphere and regularly shares knowledge with others
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree: Project Management (Required)
- PMP - Project Management Professional - Project Management Institute
- Degree required and/or equivalent experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Six years in a project manager role or comparable work
- Experience managing multiple medium to large scale IT projects simultaneously
- PMI-focused project management training or comparable training
- Project management certification recommended (PMP, PgMP, or PfMP); otherwise, a plan for attainment
- A graduate level Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Healthcare, or Business Administration
- Eight years or more of IT project management experience in a healthcare setting
