The role involves developing user-facing applications, designing scalable backend APIs, and enhancing operational efficiency through internal tooling and automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop user-facing applications that allow users to initiate, monitor, and manage long-running system processes
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend APIs supporting platform functionality
- Build internal tooling and automation that improves developer productivity and operational efficiency
- Design and maintain data models supporting execution history, operational metrics, application outputs, and system metadata
- Develop reporting, comparison, and analytics capabilities to evaluate performance across different configurations, environments, releases, and execution scenarios
- Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and observability throughout the application lifecycle
- Develop user interfaces that display application status, operational metrics, logs, reports, and generated outputs
- Build CRUD functionality for operational data, reports, metadata, and application resources
- Develop configuration management capabilities, including runtime settings, environment configuration, and feature management
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and usability of existing applications through ongoing enhancements and refactoring
- Collaborate closely with backend, infrastructure, and data engineering teams to define APIs, data models, storage strategies, and integration patterns
- Partner with engineering stakeholders to support analytics, reporting, and performance measurement initiatives
- Produce high-quality, maintainable code that adheres to established engineering standards, testing practices, security requirements, and code review processes
Skills
- Strong experience developing applications with Python
- Experience building internal platforms, developer productivity tools, operational dashboards, workflow automation systems, or data-intensive applications
- Experience designing and developing backend APIs, including service architecture, interface contracts, data schemas, and system integrations
- Experience developing modern web applications using contemporary JavaScript frameworks
- Strong understanding of data modeling for structured application data, operational metrics, analytics, and reporting
- Experience implementing application observability through logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Experience writing production-quality software with strong testing, validation, refactoring, and maintainability practices
- Strong focus on usability and user experience for technical users and internal business applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering, infrastructure, data, and platform teams
- Experience working within secure enterprise development environments and established engineering standards
- Experience developing analytics, experimentation, benchmarking, or performance measurement platforms
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows or intelligent application development
- Experience building dashboards, reporting solutions, or data visualization applications
- Experience deploying containerized applications within cloud or private infrastructure environments
- Experience implementing feature flags, runtime configuration, and environment-specific application settings
- Experience managing application artifacts, execution history, logs, and comparison tools
