They are seeking an SEO Manager / Technical SEO Specialist to lead and grow their organic user acquisition through optimizing website architecture, technical strategies, and content. The role involves owning all SEO-related activities including audits, keyword research, link building, and collaboration with engineering and content teams to enhance site performance and search rankings.
Responsibilities
- Site audit: conduct thorough technical SEO audits of our website to provide recommendations for optimization
- Analytics: monitor and analyze website traffic, keyword rankings, and other metrics to identify opportunities
- Reporting: provide regular, clear, and detailed reporting on important metrics and performance
- Keyword research: identify valuable search terms to grow our user acquisition and traffic
- Technical SEO & On-page Optimization: optimizing website structure, improving speed and mobile friendliness
- Content Strategy: develop content strategy to rank for valuable search terms, and collaborate with content team
- Technical Troubleshooting: find and fix all errors (duplicate content, crawling & indexing errors, etc
- SEO Tools Management: be responsible for Google Search Console, Google Analytics GA4, SEMrush
- Link Building: develop and implement strategy to acquire backlinks to increase website authority
- Work closely with our engineering & web development team to implement technical SEO changes
- Create and maintain technical SEO documentation and guidelines for internal team
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in technical SEO and search engine algorithms
Skills
- 5+ years of direct experience working in SEO (we'll consider less, if you can show you're amazing!)
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics GA4, SEMrush
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms to determine what governs crawlers' behavior and page ranking
- Strong knowledge of site architecture, schema markup, URL structure, redirect management
- Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging SEO issues, as well as optimizing site speed and performance
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with developers, content creators, and marketers
- Data-driven, analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail
- Owner mentality: you are self-motivated, use data to evaluate success and deliver results working independently
