The role involves performing advanced computer systems analysis and leading testing teams, focusing on software testing services for projects within the Texas Education Agency.
Responsibilities
- The Software QA Analyst performs advanced computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the QA division of IT (Information Technology)
- Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems
- This position will work with the project development teams to provide the following Software Testing Services:
- 1) Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
- 2) Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
- 4) Perform manual testing and data validation
- 5) Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
- 6) Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
- 7) Execute performance and accessibility testing
- The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the Texas Education Agency
Skills
- 7 Years Experience Testing Complex Web Applications
- 7 Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
- 6 Advance Database/SQL Language
- 6 Testing automation experience with Java and TestNG
- 4 Experience creating automation test frameworks using Playwright
- 4 Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools
- 3 Experience using GitHub CoPilot or other AI Tools to generate Test Scripts
- 3 Year Experience with Workflow Driven Automation
- Work experience with Atlassian JIRA
- Work experience with Zephyr
- Experience working closely with TEA or another state or local agency
- Experience working with Educator Prep Program and partnerships
- Experience with Educator Certification
