Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Stellar Innovations & Solutions Inc. is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the DLA in a Remote capacity. The role involves designing and maintaining data reports, writing SQL queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve software issues.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain accurate, high-quality data reports to support business needs
- Write efficient SQL queries and actively perform SQL performance tuning to ensure optimal database speed and responsiveness
- Deep-dive into the data architecture and tables to assist the application development team in debugging and resolving client-facing issues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, maintaining consistent communication and a team-first attitude
Skills
- Deep, hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
- Demonstrated ability to analyze execution plans, index data effectively and optimize slow-performing queries
- Strong data literacy with the ability to quickly learn complex data structures and tables to debug software issues
- A strong work ethic, excellent time management, and a track record of being a dependable, everyday team player
- Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of relevant IT experience
- Clearance: Must possess Secret level security clearance
- Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I
- MS SQL Server or similar relational databases preferred
