This is a full-time 1099 independent contractor opportunity offering competitive weekly pay, consistent hours, and the flexibility of delivering high-quality special education services through a virtual platform while supporting students in a school-based environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide virtual specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Deliver engaging online instruction aligned with student goals and educational needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, school administrators, related service providers, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other required school-based meetings.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and service records.
• Adapt instructional strategies and utilize digital tools to support student engagement and achievement.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements.
Qualifications
• Active North Carolina Special Education teaching license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent school-based experience preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Comfortable using virtual platforms and technology to provide instruction and collaborate with school teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Candidates licensed in additional states are encouraged to apply, as we may have opportunities available in those locations as well.

1099 Independent Contractor Information
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are paid weekly in full for all approved hours worked. No deductions are taken for benefits, retirement, liability insurance, or taxes. Contractors are responsible for setting aside funds for income taxes and obtaining their own professional liability insurance.
