Full-Time Special Education Teacher – School-Based (1099 Independent Contractor)

Responsibilities
• Provide specialized instruction to students with a variety of learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other required school-based meetings.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
• Adapt instructional strategies and classroom accommodations to meet each student's individual needs.
• Utilize virtual platforms for meetings, collaboration, and documentation when appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements.
Qualifications
• Active Vermont Special Education teaching license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent school-based experience preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Comfortable using virtual technology and online platforms.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Candidates licensed in additional states are encouraged to apply, as we may have opportunities available in those locations as well.

1099 Independent Contractor Information
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are paid weekly in full for all approved hours worked. No deductions are taken for benefits, retirement, liability insurance, or taxes. Contractors are responsible for setting aside funds for income taxes and obtaining their own professional liability insurance.
