The Sr. Accounting & Finance Officer will support the Director of Finance in overseeing global accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and improving financial processes while providing strategic insights to facilitate business growth.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Finance to oversee global accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to support business and executive decision-making
- Oversee global payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees and contractors across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage and optimize payroll platforms, including Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer
- Ensure compliance with international payroll regulations, tax requirements, and applicable labor laws
- Oversee end-to-end client invoicing, revenue tracking, collections, and revenue recognition processes
- Develop and enhance scalable billing and revenue processes aligned with business growth
- Partner with Sales and Operations teams to ensure alignment between contracts, CRM data, invoicing, and revenue reporting
- Monitor cash flow related to payroll, vendor payments, and receivables to support financial stability
- Evaluate and optimize financial systems, workflows, and automation to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements, strengthen controls, and support organizational growth
- Provide financial analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations to support leadership and key business initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience managing global payroll and multi-entity accounting environments
- Advanced knowledge of general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial close processes
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition, billing systems, and sales operations alignment
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer
- Deep understanding of international payroll operations, contractor payments, and currency management
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to executive leadership
- High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a hands-on environment
- MBA preferred
- CPA certification is strongly preferred
- QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred
- Experience in SaaS, healthcare, or technology-driven organizations is a plus
