Remote Staff Accountant for Diverse Clients

Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous and driven Remote Staff Accountant to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing financial information for a diverse clientele, preparing precise financial statements, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction through effective communication and diligence. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and compile financial statements by analyzing data from clients and accounting systems. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of assets, liabilities, expenses, and sales. • Accurately input transactions including inventory, banking activities, paid outs, and petty cash into accounting systems. • Provide technical support by troubleshooting accounting software-related issues. • Manage cash flow tools for clients, ensuring timely updates and maintenance. • Prepare, audit, and file various tax forms, including business license renewals and quarterly filings. • Address client inquiries regarding financial reports and clarify any discrepancies as needed. • Assist with special projects initiated by leadership aimed at improving financial operations. Required Skills • Excellent collaborator with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members. • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional organizational abilities. • Comfortable utilizing automated accounting systems, databases, and reporting tools. • Solid foundation in accounting principles and practices. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • At least 1 year of experience as a General Ledger Accountant. • Experience in the restaurant industry (front-of-house, back-of-house, or management) is required. • Consideration will be given to candidates with over 5 years of accounting experience without a degree.
