CPA firm is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join their finance team. Job Type: • Must have CPA firm experience Full time, W2 Location: REMOTE within the US Compensation: $70,000- $85,000 DOE Job Overview The ideal candidate will possess a strong tax background and understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts, with the ability to analyze accounts and provide strategic insights. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with tax laws while optimizing financial performance for the organization. Candidates must possess a tax accounting background in a tax role. Duties • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Conduct thorough account analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting. • Utilize financial software such as Quickbooks and Keeper for effective data management and reporting. • Perform financial analysis to assess the impact of tax strategies on overall business performance. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience in tax accounting or a similar role is preferred. • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial concepts, and accounting principles. • Proficiency in financial software applications (Quickbooks) is highly desirable. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
