[Remote] Tax Accountant (Part-Time, 100% Remote, UltraTax)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Navigator Recruiting is looking for a part-time Tax Accountant (who must be a CPA or EA) to work hybrid or 100% remotely, and prepare business and individual tax returns. The role involves preparing tax returns, examining accounting records, and assisting with tax laws and audits. Responsibilities • Prepare individual and business tax reutrns and examine accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports • Research and correct financial account discrepancies • Create new processes to improve work flow efficiency • Report analysis and findings to management team • Research and assist with tax laws, audits / notices • Ability to prioritize work and work efficiently to ensure clients deadlines are met. Skills • BS in Accounting or related field • CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) required • 3+ years’ experience preparing individual and business tax returns in a public accounting environment • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools, such as Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite and UltraTax is required • Detail and deadline-oriented • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills • Familiarity with capital gains and trust returns is helpful • Experience in bookkeeping • Proficient with Microsoft Excel • Experience with QuickBooks • Strong time-management and interpersonal skills Benefits • 3 weeks paid time off (vacation/sick) • A 401K • (7) paid holidays Company Overview • Navigator Recruiting is a Denver-based accounting and finance executive search firm focused on working with companies in the Denver metro area, Colorado Front Range and Rocky Mountain region.
