The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles, with the ability to analyze financial data effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with tax laws while providing valuable insights into financial planning and strategy. Training will be provided. Duties • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and timely. • Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings and ensure compliance with applicable laws. • Conduct account analysis to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting. • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation. • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and provide guidance on implications for clients. • Utilize financial software to manage client accounts efficiently. • Assist in financial planning efforts by providing insights into tax implications of various strategies. • Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Skills • Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles. • Excellent financial acumen, enabling effective analysis and interpretation of financial data. • Proficiency in financial software, particularly Quickbooks and Ultra Tax Software or similar applications. • Ability to conduct thorough account analysis for accurate reporting and compliance. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members. • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
