As a Remote Tax Professional, you'll be an integral part of our team, working closely with clients, leaders, and peers to drive success. This role is available for immediate commencement and requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas. Key Responsibilities Conduct tax interviews with clients and support DIY online tax clients through virtual tools, including video conferencing, phone, chat, and email. Drive business growth by identifying opportunities to offer additional products and services, increasing client retention, and generating new business. Communicate and coordinate regularly with leaders and peers to ensure seamless collaboration and impact on results. Grow your tax expertise by staying up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and continuing education requirements. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: Experience completing individual tax returns and working in a fast-paced environment. Access to high-speed, reliable internet and proficiency in technology, specifically MS Teams and Outlook. Excellent communication skills to inspire confidence in clients and concisely explain complex tax situations via phone, email, and chat. Analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve client issues. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent. High school diploma or equivalent or higher. Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during peak tax season. Skill in researching information using various tax and publication tools to understand client needs. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills can enhance your application: CPA or Enrolled Agent certification. Experience completing complex tax returns and conducting virtual tax interviews. 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax. Tax planning and audit support experience.
